John Deere Pavilion - 1924 Model D Tractor

This is the first original designed tractor John Deere Company made after taking over the Waterloo Engine Works in 1916 and producing their Waterloo Boy until 1924. the Model D production started in 1923 as a 38 horsepower, 2-cylinder all-fuel engine. The steel wheels were replaced by rubber tires in 1925 because the steel wheels were tough on hard surfaces such as roads, and they were difficult to handle. The price of the Model D in 1923 was $1,000. and it was $2,124 in 1953, its last year of production.
