OH 3.4. KARL BOEKENHAUER interviewed by Greg Vosefski 11/12/1986 - Tape Boekenhauer farmed in DeKalb County from the 1930's until 1952. After leaving the farm, he continued ot be involved in local agriculture. Interviewer Comments: Boekenhauer farmed in DeKalb County from the 1930's until 1952. After leaving the farm, he continued ot be involved in local agriculture as a feed salesman/manager for Norther FS co-operative. The information he gives for later periods is gerneralized and not from direct farming experience. Several minutes of recording at the end of the interview were accidentally lost when the cassette was turned over. Aparently the record button was not fully depressed. The sound of a clock ticking can be heard throughout the entire interview. It does not interfere with the tape's clarity.
