LAND ACQUISITION
In the 1930s, ran into Mr. Graham, a farmer was going to lose his farm. He bought it for a low price, 140 acres 12 miles north of Springfield.
LIVESTOCK
Hired couple to manage farm; had large number of hogs; system where slatted wood floor where feces and urine fall through. Later drained into a tank because of environmental concerns about creek water.
