- Discusses members of the Senior Citizens group and older people in the area. Members of the group rarely pay for gasoline, school play tickets, and flu shots because of donations from the church and community. Plays pinochle with a friend often. Got $35 per month for teaching which was higher than the average $30 per month. Paid for room and board with cousin for $7 per month. Rode to school with father on a horse and feared a panther attack.
