- Did not go on many hay-rack rides. Once hay work was over they did not want to see any more hay.
- CHILDHOOD ACTIVITIES
- Describes a fish trap built across a river where rocks outcropped. Notes few places where rocks found in streams or rivers around Springfield. It involved driving posts, logs, vertical boards, and a spillway space. This trapped fish as the water built up at the dam.
