SPECIALTY LIVESTOCK
Fawns live in a barn and have an outside run. Older deer are in a pen without grass so that they eat their ration. In the process of expanding pens. Currently has 21 does and 4 Bucks' Fawns will replace herd and others sold.
LIVESTOCK CARE
Farm is part of the Chronic Wasting Disease Certification Program & dead deer submitted for testing. Comments on hunters spreading disease. Notes that test for tuberculosis and brucellosis will allow the farm to ship animals to other states.
MARKETING
Have to have 8 foot fences which are required. Deer need places where they can hide. Notes handling shoot & urine collection system. Only sells that seasons urine. Not ready to go to a national level but is exploring expansion. 48 hours after collection, urine sold to hunters as an attractant. "Deer urine is a MySpace page for Deer." "Got to be careful because you could get hurt if you put it on yourself." Internet is a huge sales tool.
