Born October 14, 1988 in Springfield, IL, now lives in Raymond, IL. Youngest of 7 children, four adopted from different countries. Father used to farm, but is now into the business part. Used to go with father to visit his farms. FFA experience began when she found his jacket in the closet and she asked him about it.
FARM ORGANIZATIONS
Started as a Freshman. Did Agriculture. Education and Agricultural Communication. Put together newsletters and put things together which got her started in the communications part. Has a Turf Grass management business that she took over for her brother in 2003. Lawn care got her into agribusiness. Only one in the family besides father that is part of FFA. Over half of the leadership positions are carried by girls now. Helped brother with lawns as a summer job, grew into a business. Got her state FFA degree.
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Played boys soccer and was 1 of 2 girls on a 36 player team, played basketball for three years and softball for four. Was a tomboy growing up; enjoyed playing dodge ball with the boys.
