- FAMILY BACKGROUND
- Born in Birmingham, Alabama on May 30, 1962; father is Don Boone, mother is Marie Boone (makes reference to the Osmond brother and sister); brother Lee that lives in Atlanta, GA. Met husband in high school. He had been married before, divorced with two children. Married John Ackerman nine months after she moved back to Morton and had two children with him.
- NON-FARM WORK
- Father was a computer person, a master programmer & family moved a lot due to his job. Yvette had worked in Human Relations before working for Ackerman Farms.
- TOWNS
- Liked living in the Midwest; people were friendly but cautious; once a friend, you were a friend for life. Wanted her kids to have a good education at the Morton School District.
- FARM BUSINESS
- Ackerman Farms; sold pumpkins, then customers began asking for different items. Started listening to what their customers wanted, such as apples. She has experience in retail and an interest in home décor. Installed floor heat and blew insulation into the sides and the tin roof.
