- MARKETING
- As countries develop more, the people eat more meat. Politics interfere with international markets. Japanese and Korean markets could be huge. Decisions are not made to benefit beef producers.
- LIVESTOCK
- Animal research benefits humans. FDA test them for safety. Bovine somatitrophin - BST, given to cows, will produce more mammary glands and produce more milk. An injected cow has as much BST in the blood ( and the milk) as a cow that is not injected. Estrogen compounds are in the same situation, rumors notwithstanding. We do not know the situation elsewhere in the world. Story about American athletes afraid to eat food in China for Olympics. Example of folk remedies without testing.
