- FARM ORGANIZATIONS
- The Farm Bureau was started 90 years ago in Tazewell County. This county organization grew to a state organization and other affiliate association. Out of this grew Country Companies, today Country Financial Insurance and Prairie Farms and many other groups. Many situations that affected mostly farmers were not originally serviced by other organizations. Country Financial started in Illinois but is now in 40 states. Sell life, auto, and crop insurance. Don't carry health insurance because it costs too much, but now have an agreement with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Federal government provides crop insurance, but Country Financial is a carrier. He explains crop insurance. Explains the difference between crops grown in Illinois and other religions in the United States.
