LIVESTOCK
Talks about preparing sheep for showing after laying around for days or traveling the show circuit for a couple of months. The sheep are kept in blankets and it takes a couple of hours to originally comb them. Charles is showing four sheep but used to show forty-five to fifty ewes in State Fairs across the nation.

Charles and his son used to show sheep together until his son joined the military. Son is now in Iraq for third tour, but Charles' granddaughter became interested in showing sheep so she now has twelve ewes to show. Charles says it teaches responsibility, keeps kids safe and it's nice to have young people involved in agriculture. He mentions the decline in agriculture.

Charles talks about the importance of width and length of loin, the straightness of the back, a good leg of lamb and the extension of the neck in showing sheep. He says the most important characteristic is four good legs so the animal can show itself off.
