FARMING METHODS
Talks about how aquaponics has the ability to supply a large amount of food on a small bit of acreage. The concept can be put in urban areas as well as the country. Expand into areas that need food and need high quality food. Says even though they have problems with insects, he thinks the problem has gone down compared to other environments and virtually no weeds.
FARM BUSINESS
Expand their business into areas that need jobs and good food. Funding would limit at how fast the company grows. Because it is new, it might be looked at in a cautionary way. One of his concerns is paying the bills. A lot of people are connected to the process. Their mission is to grow clean food in a local environment.
FOOD & MEALS
Says people in the Midwest, especially Illinois, shouldn't have to get food from California and Mexico and let it travel a distance of 1500 miles. We have the soil in Illinois to grow our own food.
REFLECTIONS
Has met people who said they were thinking about such a business twenty years ago but never took the first step. He is lucky in that his wife has been patient with him.
