FAMILY
The House was built in 1857. Grandpa was one of 14 kids. Extended family lived with them. Kitchen was in back. Barn built in 1857 too. Farm handed down through generation. Everything stays.
FACILITIES
Barn used to store hay and horses. Cattle in another barn. Winery being built. The church was built around 1865. Everyone is Lutheran or Catholic. A look at the peach orchard. Different types of peaches mentioned
WORK
Peach tree is only good for twelve or fifteen years. Two different orchards, rotate them out. Sprays and mows the orchard with four wheeler and tractors. Spray insecticide and fungicide. Sprayed once every week or 10 days--fungicide. Wet weather. Pyrethrum is used. It's an insecticide made from flowers. it's a new thing. Used on Coddling Moth lays egg and worm goes into peach. Set traps to catch moths and when there a lot of moths, you spray.
