FAMILY
Describes daughters' youth, family meals together, recreation & reading. Pets included rabbits, crows, dogs, & geese. Clausen's parents born in States. Family was very close. Talks about visiting extended family on day trips. Yearly family "get-together," if not throughout the year. Married in 1949. Visiting DeKalb on Saturday night.
TRAVEL
He and wife once visited Florida in the 1960s, drove there. Describes other car trips. Daughter was interested in geology, designed trips around those interests. Short trips.
