FARM BUSINESS
Acreage was 160 acres in 1942. Rented 80 acres from neighbor for 10yrs (rent-share). By 1960 farming 1000 acres. Farmed 1000 acres without equipment they have now. Hired Help
GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS
In 1950's Government policy had little impact. Belonged to Farm Bureau since he was 21yrs old. Depended on Farm Bureau for advice. Did participate in set-aside programs. There is too much production for demand. Cause for decrease in demand was the [1970's] embargo which caused loss of markets.
