- Mother was 4-H leader. Everyone joined at age 10 out when you were 21. Girls club and boys club, you could join both. Girls club was sewing and cooking. Boys club was livestock. Joanne showed sheep. Brother and sister showed rabbits. Butchered rabbits themselves and sold to grocery store in LaSalle.
