CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Talks of walking & riding a pony 1.25 mile to school. Always rode horse to high school. Cut through pastures to school. Aunt gave her first pony to ride to school in 2nd grade. Description of schoolhouse & teacher's janitorial work. Mentions outhouse & carrying water in from water pump. Discussion of how subjects were taught in one room with 8 grades.
