- Goes to church at the Presbyterian church in Donnellson. Walks to church almost every Sunday. Use to take a half hour to walk to church, now takes 45 min. Goes to town twice a week.
- FOOD & MEALS
- Buys groceries in Donnellson and flour in Greenville. Has a refrigerator now. Eat chicken and eggs but not meat. Has a large garden. Tend to raise strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, potatoes, and beans. Buy seed from Shumway and mail-order companies Burpees. Tried to grow an orchard but the trees got a fungus from the pine trees. Grows grapes and his sisters make grape jelly. Tried to make jelly with honey when sugar was rationed in WWI, but it did not taste as good.
