Used to be a community club that everyone attended and pinochle club that 14-16 people attended. Church had some activities. School's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) was active. Whole community participated in church and school activities. Helped form and was first president for the first Home Bureau in Menard County. Home Bureau was about doing new things with what was already in a household. Women's employment increased so attendance decreased, but recently it has increased again.
