- Discusses & describes building of log cabin. "Chink'n" to fill holes between logs in log cabin. Warm home. Board floor directly on ground. Termites were not a problem. Used black-oak & pin-oak because they were straight. No pictures of the cabin. (addenda item# 86, see Aikman 7, Clip# 785)

- Additional detail on machinery used to make sorghum & use of plant fiber to make really good roof for hog & chicken houses. Description of roof construction. Compares modern sugar mill to the old sorghum sugar production. Marketing of barrels of molasses. Describes sorghum mill being in place for a few months & then owner moving on, or closing down. Always could find a mill though. (addenda item# 87, 88, see Aikman 7, Clip# 786)
