- Recently had a birthday and visited her long-time friend's home to get cantaloupes. Mason County and Beardstown cantaloupes are famous. Always received cantaloupe for her birthday as a child.
- ORGANIZATIONS
- Mrs. Kirby is very interested in interdenominational cooperation in churches. Describes the history of ecumenical movements starting in the 1800's with missionaries and continuing with Sunday school movements. Thinks her grandmother's interest in interdenominational cooperation sparked her own participation. Discusses her own experiences in the church.
