- Bert recalls hogs & cattle being shipped to St. Louis & Chicago from stockyards in Raymond. Livestock was driven on the road (hog-drives & cattle-drives) to the stockyards. Once in the pens, the hogs would separate out into the group they knew, but cattle would mix freely. Bert goes on to discuss how the livestock was weighed at the stockyard & how some fellows cheated the scales.
