- Bert tells of being one of the first to have his hogs vaccinated against hog-cholera & how most farmers did not use the virus to vaccinate their animals, fearing that it would spread the disease. Bert vaccinated every year & only lost 2 hogs. Later many farmers would not keep up with their hog vaccinations & continued to loose hogs.
