Starting a Poultry Farm

- Frances started a poultry farm on her home place with buildings and brooder houses. She chose White leghorns because they were thought to produce more eggs. She sold the eggs for one dollar per dozen, a higher price than most farm commodities brought in then. She ran the business for three years, then married and gave it up.
