Wood Stoves for Heating, Cooking, & Laundry

- In her new farmhouse, there was a wood-burning stove with a reservoir to heat water. The stove served for heating and cooking. Downstairs there was a laundry stove that heated water in a wash boiler (now used as a magazine rack). The washing machine was turned and wrung by hand, then the clothes hung outside.
