- People could come and go, picking whatever they wanted. 10-12 years ago. Ellis sold apples $4-5/ bushel, peaches $8/ bushel and cider $2/ gallon. Tried doing the Famer's Market but more profitable when people came and picked. Daughter Polly almost ran a guy out of the orchard because he was climbing the trees.
