COLLGE EDUCATION
Will be attending University of Illinois for Agribusiness and Markets. Considered Ag. Education but not her area. Agribusiness is flexible, especially with the economy the way it is.
AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Discusses how officers are chosen and traveling for agricultural activities. Spent two week in Washington, DC and met President Bush. Plans conventions in the winter, got to take a trip to Spain. Learned about their history, then the agricultural side of the trip. After traveling all over Illinois, says that no part is the same.
FARM BUSINESS
Talks about what will happen to family farms if mega farms take over.
REFLECTIONS
Talks about her possible future in agribusiness and meeting Patricia Woertz, CEO of Archer Daniels Midland. Not sure what the future holds, but sees it getting brighter. Thinks advancements with technology will improve Illinois even more since we are one of the top producing states in corn and soybeans. Says FFA is going to get bigger because membership is increasing. Says don't forget where you came from, for her future generations.
