- NON-FARM WORK
- Father took a job with a lead works to supplement income.
- CROPS
- Grew most for feed, but sold wheat and soybeans.
- LIVESTOCK
- Lists numbers of animals. Guernsey and Jerseys because of high butterfat content and they are heavy producers. Sometimes had Holsteins, but their butterfat content is lower. Had Chester White hogs and Ohio-Improved Chester Whites, an improved breed. Later went to Duroc and Hampshire, and some Yorkshires because they were leaner.
- CHURCH
- Played a big role in his life, spiritually and socially. In childhood, you were there with friends instead of working. Does not recall bible study classes. He has been in choirs.
