- CROPS
- On ten acres in Marseilles, they grow root crops. It is a CSA, a Community Supported Agriculture for one hundred members for three seasons. For eighteen weeks, people get a box filled with vegetables at a pickup place. Shows a sample box. Changes seasonally, from early lettuce, to root crops in the fall. Runs May through November. Direct connection between farmers and customers.
- FARM ORGANIZATIONS
- Englewood has a plan to improve the community that includes an urban farm, healthy food. Other areas are interested in starting programs, too. Two city lots were donated that will be used as incubator gardens. School garden in a plot across from school.
