- Wheat crop is easy to grow, comes up in the spring, green.
- FARM EQUIPMENT
- Story of father. Neighbors still used binders; put up a dozen bundles in a shock. At threshing time, they needed pitchers. As a teen, he was invited to pitch. Four farmers drove and the two helped pitched to four wagons. Throw bundles all day in the heat. At noon was lunch made by competing ladies. Gorged themselves. Water boy came around with a buggy. Helped those who got sun stroke.

- Had a barn, double corn crib, machine shed, wood shed, smokehouse, two chicken houses, outside toilet, brooder.
