- NON-FARM WORK
- Taught Economic Botany, Biology and Microbiology at EIU. Talks about how she got to the National Soybean Research Laboratory (NSRL).
- COLLEGE EDUCATION
- Really enjoyed college atmosphere, so went for a PhD. Applied in two departments and UIUC, one of which was Plant Pathology. Mentions interest in soybean pathogens; what a check off is, and germplasm. Took 6 years to get her PhD.
- SOYBEANS
- Talks about how to produce soybeans. Gives a history of how soybeans came to America, where they were planted, and how they got to the Midwest. Talks about beginning of soybean production. Talks about what soybeans are good for today and what they are made up of.
