- Another impassioned discussion of farm programs. Here Warren notes the high price paid per bushel by the US government for corn if farmers reduced their corn acreage vs. the low market price if they did not participate in the program & reduce their acreage. Acreage was reduced, but 1985 was a good year [good weather? Better agro-chemicals?] & farmers still produced to much.
