In 1862 the Morrow Act established Land Grant Colleges. Each state has a land grant university - here it's University of Illinois. In 1914, Smith-Lever Act set up the Agricultural Extension Service, the ag agent. Then the Home-Ec Advisor. It assisted farmers and housewives to adapt technology.
