- CROPS
- Talks about how many soybeans are produced in Illinois and Iowa and the research that goes into it.
- TRANSPORTATION
- Discusses a highway being built through farmer's land which would cut his farm in two. Many people were concerned with the safety and economic development. This lead to the development of a group called AMPS (Adams, Morgan, Pike, Stark Counties). He got to work with governor Jim Thompson and lieutenant governor George Ryan. They went to court against the state to prevent them from building the highway. They knew they could not win the case. They went to DC to get bills passed for so they could spend money on the bridges.
