- COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
- Twenty-five people, golfers from area formed a development group to create a local golf club. Group included 40 charter members who paid $3000 each. They hired an architect, Charlie Maddox from St. Charles. Settled on Edgewood site in Auburn. Nelson Fernandez was architect for clubhouse. Golf Club finished in 1963. Back nine holes developed from Bud's land later. Now there are ten people financially responsible, so different atmosphere, but it is a good club.
