Recalls parents reaction to war trials after WWII. Mother would not discuss it. Brothers believe that Jews hunting down war criminals is as bad as what Nazis did. Story of sister's reaction to reading Diary of Ann Frank in 1960's & not believing it was real. Reflections on attitude towards trial. "Get them fuckers!" Recalls efforts to send clothing to Europe & mother sending new trunk full of new & newly made clothes to Germany. Recalls church collections to send money to Europe. Larry reflects & emphasizes how isolated the farm community was when he was growing up. War was remote in their community. Recalls brother's National Guard unit getting sent to Korea. Then recalls disinterest in Vietnam War.
