- Parris finds a stem that has been broken and will not produce any more peppers. He estimates the stem could have grown 30 peppers, enough to feed a family. They try to minimalize the mistakes that happen, because each mistake costs money. They teach this philosophy from day one on the farm and they hope that knowledge gets passed along.
