LIVESTOCK
Footage of cows being shown in the ring. The judge inspects each cow. The cows are walked around the ring. Katie's cow wins the blue ribbon. When inspecting the child/mother pairs, the judge checks to see how much they look alike. If the cow's legs are straight they look wider, if the cow stretches its legs out it will look longer. Cows are usually entered under the same name and the family will help show. Simmental are tall and known for their big ears. Angus are solid black. Simmental started out red and white but they've been turned black. Dianna thinks angus cows are more mean. The same groups of people compete. There are rivalries between families who show the same kinds of cow. The Junior National show is the same weekend as this show, so some of the better cows are not seen here.
