- No disease problems. Very cautious of brinigng birds on the farm. Once a bird leaves, can't come back. No outside birds or chicks are brought onto the farm. Vaccinate through the feed for cocciidia. All poultry farmers concerned for coccidia. Blood test the entire breeder hens every year. They look out for avian influenza though they're not really at risk. By not exposing ot outside birds they stop other diseases from being exposed to the birds.
