- ORCHARDS
- Peaches are self pollinating. No bees. Apples need bees to pollinate. Pick into box with handle. Pick close to being ripe. They have no refrigeration, peaches are tree ripened. 2.6 acres of grapes. Peach Orchard planted in 1993. 5 varieties. 100 tress in the new orchard. Built pond themselves.
- VINEYARD
- In the 1800s, used to be a pasture--too steep to farm. Used to have apple trees. Three varieties of grapes
- FARM EQUIPMENT
- Tractors came after harness and horses. Came out in 1930s. Iron wheels and started with a fly wheel--turn to start. Restoring tractors. 1939 Tractor. Horses still used to harrow and mow, while tractors did planting and discing. Electrification in 1945.
