- First real vacation in first new car to Yellowstone with family. A farm hand and neighbor took care of things. First television in 1949 & stopped going to the movies. Better TV programs in past.

- Kennedy Administration program focusing on farming for markets. Markets opened, into the 1970's. Discussion of productivity & prices of farm products. Talks of need for an American farming export board like many other countries.
- FARM BUSINESS
- Discussion of how much more land you need today to make a living & higher taxes today. Farmers tried to "make room" for their sons takes great amount of capital. Discussion of how Don's father helped his offspring get started farming.
