- FARM BUSINESS
- Acreage was 160 acres in 1942. Rented 80 acres from neighbor for 10yrs (rent-share). By 1960 farming 1000 acres. Farmed 1000 acres without equipment they have now. Hired Help
- GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS
- In 1950's Government policy had little impact. Belonged to Farm Bureau since he was 21yrs old. Depended on Farm Bureau for advice. Did participate in set-aside programs. There is too much production for demand. Cause for decrease in demand was the [1970's] embargo which caused loss of markets.
