- FARMHOUSE
- Never owned a "deep-freeze" but her daughter could not live without one. Electricity has had the biggest impact on farming. Involved in the REA (Rural Electrification Administration) since about twelve years prior.
- NEIGHBORS
- People are less neighborly but still good neighbors. People would visit more because of fewer cars. Local church is still active & it is over 100 years old.
- CHURCH ACTIVITIES
- Children go to Sunday School at St. Peter's and are involved in children's choir. Church holds occasional lunches and dinners. By the time Mrs. Brasel went the church services were no longer in German. Whole community is very interconnected. The West Point District encompasses about 3 square miles.
