ENVIRONMENT
Remembers the phenomena of a lake appearing and disappearing over the years. Nigger Lake was named for an old man who had a store there. They tried tiling the area in the 1920s to divert the water from coming into town. Speculated on the origin of the fish that got into this lake. In the 1970s, the lake had appeared for four years and was about four feet deep. During wet cycles it covered the blacktop and some fields. Compares this land to that in other states he went to.
