- Description of loading bundles of wheat in wagon. Took a while to learn how to lay bundles in wagon with pitch-fork. Story about fellow who "cheated" to always get the dirty-side. Describes difference between dirty & clean side of bundle wagon. Could breathe better on clean side. Bert wore bandana over face to keep hay-fever down. Bert mentions that his dad was a good stacker of wheat. Relates that this story came up in the barbershop recently.

- Bert relays barbershop story about stacking wheat. He made a wonderful stack out of pride in his work. One function was to have stack of wheat that would drain if it got wet. Not everyone could put up a good stack. Bert's dad got paid an extra $0.50/day because he was a good stacker. More description of threshing machine.
