- In 1918 flu epidemic hit whole family except her.
- MARRIAGE
- Large Presbyterian church wedding. Relates incident when lights went out at wedding. After lights came on everyone saw groomsmen talking to bridesmaids. Describes dress made by Stern Sisters in Springfield. Describes men's suits, rehearsal dinner, & coal mine excursion.
- NON-FARM WORK
- Notes use of electric cars, called "mules" in coal mine she took wedding party to.
- MARRIAGE
- Marie had catered reception a late supper & wedding shower at school. Interviewer reads poem on card from the wedding. For Honeymoon hey took train to Chicago & then boat to Sault Ste. Marie. Landed at Toledo, went to new home in Perrysburg. In-laws were very nice to Marie.
