- Sailed on Duchess of York from Montreal to Liverpool. Attended conference, side trips to towns and sites; left party to find relatives in Sleigo, Ireland. Visited cousins in Ireland. Notes use of potatoes in meals & for livestock feed. Notes peat used as fuel.
