- Jose Martinez was born in Yuridia, Mexico in 1963 but came to work in the United States in 1986. Jose started working in North Carolina picking tobacco and cucumbers, but in 1994 started working for Eckert's Orchards in Belleville, Illinois and returns to Mexico during the off season.
