- Discussion of hog scalding, chickens, & marketing while looking through pictures. Sold eggs to Walgreens, Tom Thumb Market and Food Center. Could not do that kind of business today because of health regulations.
- FARMING DURING WWII
- Found out about war when mother fell down stairs & broke her neck. Son was deferred by Board and Farm Bureau to work on farm during WWII. No memory of rationing of gas. Community Activities. Grew own food, meat. Town had paper drives. Townsfolk entertained themselves at cards, clubs. Felt nuclear bombs were necessary to prevent more Pearl Harbors.
