- ENVIRONMENT
- Weldon likes fall as a season. "Mother Nature has put on her paintbrush." Hillsides have oak trees, soft maples are on the tree line, and on the bluffs are oaks, with a few willows. There are fewer deer, rabbits, and squirrels now than there were before legalized hunting of the same.
- LAND
- River has been aggravating when floods happen, but the river bottoms have been helpful. Thinks he would miss it, but if given a choice between farmland inland or by the river, he would choose inland farmland because it is safer. Sometimes river bottom land will give more bushels of crop. Visibility is over a mile and a half on most days.
- ACTIVITIES
- ENVIRONMENT
- Son and friends hunt rabbits and squirrels along the river. Thinks the rabbit and squirrel populations are low because people over-hunt them. Son's favorite seasons are spring and fall, even though the river floods early in June.
